When Holman Plumbing & Water Treatment is installing piping in a deep well on Vancouver Island or the surrounding islands, deep set PVC pipe must be used. Threaded Deep Set PVC is a specially constructed heavy duty pipe that is meant for deeper well installations. The substantially increased wall thickness helps to maintain the strength of the pipe which would be lost as threads are cut, reducing the wall thickness. The increase in strength of Deep Set Drop is much greater than the percentage increase in wall thickness. (Sch. 80 thread, approximately 1/2 the pipe thickness is cut away).
All of the increase of the Deep Set PVC remains because the thread cut is the same. Tapered threads are designed to maximize the strength when coupled with reamed and drifting 304 S.S. couplings. Full thread engagement.
Extensive laboratory pull-apart testing at the Colorado School of Mines and an independent testing laboratory verified a substantial increase in strength.
Results also showed no thread failure in any of the numerous tests that were conducted. Check out those results below, and contact us with any questions!

Now with our new water system there has been a tremendous change. Most importantly we are healthier, the water tastes and smells like water again and not some chemical cocktail, also the skin problems have been reduced to minimal.
Our hair and skin is soft and we use less body and house hold products. It was so nice to meet a professional who is certified and cares about clients needs. Thank you so much Lauren!
M. M. ( French Creek, BC )You have restored my faith in the concept of living up to one’s word.
As a result our drinking water was limited to the designated R.0. tap in the kitchen; however, with no way to monitor the efficiency of the filters we were never certain that our drinking water was safe.
I am sure we will enjoy a long and stress-free relationship with you.
Lynda Nesbitt ( Duncan, BC )I'm really happy with the work you did for me, the faucet installation and cut off valves on the pipes as well as my new pump. I am especially pleased with the Pentex pump saver.
As you know, I was everywhere with my camera that day, so I captured most of what you were doing and attach the pictures as a reminder of a job well done.
Thank you very much for replacing my pump in the correct fashion, and showing me the errors a previous well service company had made.
